Safe Substances
A product is safe only if the substances of which it is made of are safe as well. Out of a total of 264 chemical products, the conformity level to the MRSL ZDH of the products, on the basis of the received declarations, is 82%.
At present, many products are classified as non-compliant because the supplier does not send a suitable compliance self-declaration. Hence, in 2019 it will become necessary to increase the commitment level of chemical suppliers, supporting them through some training and / or ad-hoc training meetings.
Renewable Energy
From 2019, the 100% of the electric energy that we are using in our structures, comes from renewable sources.
First, we focused on the energetic efficiency in order to reduce the total amount of electricity employed, then we used renewable sources for our remaining needs. Starting from January 2019, about 35% of the renewable energy used by Penta-Rif is self-produced.
Smart Chemistry
We also help our suppliers to use an intelligent chemistry. We are more and more at the forefront in removal of many dangerous substances from our processes.
Our approach begins with the gathering of complete information on the chemical composition of the substances employed, in order to make the fabrics that we create increasingly safe. That also means collecting information from our suppliers, working very closely with our partners to build a detailed map of each chemical substance used within our supply chain.
